Registration
Registering your copy of Eatbase gives you access to all the features of the software, and removes a few limitations.

The following limitations apply to unregistered copies of the software:
  • only one user can be created
  • you can only add 20 foods
  • you cannot get the full food database

The unregistered version is entitled to the "common" foods database and updates.  When you register you will get the complete food database containing specific foods and brands that have been co-operatively shared between all registered users.

The following additional features are available when you register:
  • The food and activity diaries can be printed.
  • The daily analysis can be displayed in a report and graphed, both of which can be printed.
  • User history graphs: Energy intake and expenditure, weight, nutrient intake, and BMI chart, all of which can be printed.
  • Access to the Co-operative Data eXchange (CDX).

Note. The software will never stop working if you do not register, nor will you lose any information you have entered.

    How Registration Works
When your payment for registration has been received and your registration processed, you will receive an email containing the name in which the software is registered - usually the email address you nominated during the payment process - and a registration code.  Both of these items must be entered in the Registration screen exactly as shown in the email.  The Registration screen option is under the Help menu on the main screen.  Your software is then immediately registered and you will be invited to download the complete food database.

Registration provides you with 12 months (or some other period) access to any newer version of Eatbase that is released in that period, as well as food data updates.  Registration is also an agreement to co-operatively share any food information you enter into Eatbase with the rest of the Eatbase community via the CDX.

After your 12 months registration is up, you will be invited to re-register at a substantial discount (at least 50%) on the current new registration cost.  You can freely continue to use your current version of the software and its data without limitation, however you will not have access to food database updates.

In other words, the version of the software that you are using when your registration runs out will remain permanently registered.  Eatbase may prompt you to check for an updated version of the software as your registration expires so you can continue to use the most current software at the time.

You should keep a copy of the Eatbase installation file so you can can re-install your registered version at a later date if necessary.

Note. The software will never stop working if you do not re-register, nor will you ever lose any information you have entered.

    Licencing
Registration licences you to one installation on one computer only.  The licence is PC based, not user account based.

Please contact Mikoder for multiple licencing and volume discounts.
