Eatbase Tour

Eatbase is an application that is installed on your computer and used to record the foods you’ve eaten each day. As well, you can use it to record any specific activities you’ve done and your weight.

If your doctor or dietitian has recommended you use a food diary, or Eatbase in particular, he or she is aiming to make you conscious of the energy your body needs compared to your intake. They may also want to analyse your nutritional intake to pinpoint any deficiency, which Eatbase has been designed to do.

How a Food Diary Helps You Lose Weight.

  1. It makes you aware of the calories that are in the foods you are eating, highlights “problem” foods, and forces you to think about your food choices.
  2. It leads to greater self-discipline when you are faced with temptation because you know you have to record it – maybe to face having your diary reviewed – and you’ll think about the effect of a “bad” food on the days’ result.
  3. It provides continuous motivation to stick to an eating and/or exercise plan, and to include nutrient-dense foods in your diet.
  4. By establishing a recording habit your mind overcomes the common problem of forgetting exactly all the foods you’ve consumed.

What Eatbase Isn’t.

Eatbase is not a meal or menu planner, nor is it designed to create a diet for you. While you can use the software to help you plan your eating, it is designed to record the foods you’ve already eaten.

Eatbase is not a weight-loss “system” and does not guarantee you will lose weight. It is a diet analysis tool independant of any weight-loss target.
