Without the resources of an I.T. department, most small businesses use the software they have at hand to solve their day-to-day needs. This often means the software that came pre-installed on their PC’s, such as Notepad and Microsoft Office (and the ubiquitous Excel).

What Mikoder Can Provide

  1. New MS Windows (XP/Vista) desktop applications.
  2. Updated versions of custom software you are currently using.
  3. Database creation and integration – database may be on the same PC, or on a server.
  4. Reporting solutions, with specific expertise in Crystal Reports.
  5. Internet and email integration.
  6. Direct communication with the developer/s and ongoing input into the design process.
  7. Free bug fixes for 5 years.
  8. Fixed rate software and database updates, no contract required.

Rates

Mikoder will quote on all1 requests based on an estimation of the time involved and the daily rate, which is currently $200 per day (not including GST). If specific software or licences are required for your application these will be charged independently and payment will be required before project commencement. Changes to existing software are charged at the hourly rate of $40 per hour. Bug fixes2 are free for a period of 5 years after the software has been delivered.

1. Mikoder may decline to quote if the job is beyond our purview or we are unable to accomodate the work within a reasonable time-frame.
2. A “bug” is defined as an application error or an incorrect software operation, not an expectation of a different mode of operation.
